Evan or Kevin

Personally, I prefer Kevin B. I know he covers the Jet's and does 20/20 updates. I would much rather see Kevin get the mid day gig than Evan. I have a feeling the whole Evan story makes better radio ie. being on Imus when he was 10,and ore than likely kissing Mike's ***.

Personally I do like Kevin B more than Evan. However I dont think this will be much of an issue because I think it wont be long before they bring Kevin into replace Joe B.

The question is what will Joe B do, its not a sure thing they will offer Joe B the overnight again, and will he even want to take its. Its a huge demotion and a slap in the face(even if he deserved it because he could not carry a day show.)

They're both dimensionless and horrible fits with Joe. Joe has some seediness about him, and Sid was PERFECT foil. Jody Mac, also a scumbag, was good too. Joe can't relate to these two clowns, who are both probably using this as a stepping stone, ala Eagle or Steve Cohen. God bless them for that, imagine staying at the FAN for 15 years :roll: or more, but they shouldn't rush Joe out the door.

Joe would not and should not go back to overnights. If anyone, it should be Somers, he was the perfect overnight host, but he has the clout to stay on the pre-midnight schedule, than Joe will too.

He's got the leverage of going down the dial and I think he'd actually bring a credible following with him.

You are right Play, Joe walks out the Astoria door and he will probably just wind up in the Sirius or XM wasteland.

He does not fit into the 1050 mold anyway, because he is old and he does not pretend that he is down with the streets and young people, like Kellerman and SAS do.

Last week when dog was polling the 20/20 guys about Evan Roberts they were talking to Recco about it and Dog said "now Jerry you think of yourself as more of a play by play guy then as a talk show host" and Jerry said that was true.

I'll give Joe some credit and assume he realizes he has limited options so he'll just have to accept being partnered with Evan.

Joe can't go anywhere else especially 1050 as someone else mentioned because he doesn't fit their mold. Also, his act wouldn't play in another city because his whole schtick is he is the voice of the "NY fan". Try doing that routine in Miami or Chicago and he'll be bounced within months.

He also wouldn't go back to the overnight because he would see that as a slap in the face. I think Joe is a good guy so I don't mind him the wait and see approach with regards to the new show with Evan. Besides, I hardly ever listen from 10-1 anyway.

I don't see how people can write off Benigno and Roberts yet. I want to see what they will do together. And I certainly hope they don't move Benigno out. I like him a great deal, and I enjoy listening to him. Some of you guys in the past have gotten all over him because he doesn't speak the best english. Well neither does Mad Dog. At least Benigno isn't arrogrant and disrespectful as Russo.

Evan......I enjoy his overnight slots and his fill in spots.......If anything Kevin seems like more of the kissass than anything because he just comes off phony when doing those 20/20 updates on MMD show while overlaughin @ one of their dry jokes....

Anyone else catch when M&MD were discussing Evan and Mike said he would have chosen someone else but when Dog pressed wouldn't say who because it was final so dog goes brandon mccarthy meaning tierny (of 1050) mike said that wasnt the guy but I got the feeling it was Lagreca.

Personally, Benigno to me is the best on WFAN. Call it bias since he's a die-hard Jets fan, and Knicks fan, fine.

But to me he has done pretty damn well having his own show, I like his style of radio and it works fine to me...Evan is alot more upbeat and energetic, so it's an interesting duo, we'll see.

I was surprised listening last night to discover Kevin is an Eagle fan. Nice to see a pro-Philly guy on the Fan. :lol:

Keeping my bias out, I've always liked Kevin a lot, and I actually thought he sounded better with Joe when he did some shows with him in the past than Evan did with him. Would hope he gets to move up down the road.
