According to MSNBC's Keith Olberman, in addition to Staples, P&G, and Bigelow Tea, there are other major comapnies that are seriously thinking abpout pulling ads from MSNBC. He implied more are on the way.

He also mentioned that NBC's Al Roker and Ron Allen have called for IMUS to be fired.

Olberman said that he will reserve his opinion (something he promised to MSNBC Management) until after IMUS meets with the women from Rutgers. That said, it was clear that he, Olberman, was not buying the 2 week suspension.

Olberman also said IMUS is scheduled to meet with the Rutgers basketball team next week, but that it is likely that the meeting will be sooner.

On his ESPN radio show with Dan Patrick, he had nothing but contempt for Imus, which made me wonder if his claim that Imus wouldn't be back on TV was just wishful thinking. He made Imus out to be the bully in the schoolyard, that everyone had to put up with his offensive behavior and arrogance, and anyone who complained to management was told not to rock the boat. He had especially harsh words for Bernard, calling him "vile."

Imus has made this whole thing worse. He would have been better off saying I am sorry and that is the end.
Couldn't agree more (I can't disagree?) But I don't think he's capable of doing that.

Imus needs to shut up. This whole thing is getting worse the more he talks. Remember how he treated the MSNBC news reader Contessa Brewer! Again, this is a pattern of behavior, which has only gotten worse over the years. No wonder why he has no relationship with his daughters.
