I wonder if this visit was planned prior to the Imus incident, or subsequent to it.

Subsequent. It was just announced an hour ago after some negotiations with her campaign staff and the school.
If she wants to make a real stand, she should visit the Duke guys who have been through hell for the past year.
One of them is even her constituent, from Garden City. That is, if she even still considers herself a New Yorker.

Hilary is going there to thank them for helping to take down an antagonist of hers.

Hard to be mad at Hillary though.....at least she was consistent on her hatred of Don Imus after he bashed her and Bill in front of her face at a correspondents' dinner 11 years ago. But Obama showed his populist, fake colors when he feigned outrage against Imus' content, yet he didn't mind going on the show a couple of times to pop for his imminent Presidential campaign.
I Can't Disagree

I don't know, but either way, she is still arguably the purest politician in the history of the country. And when I use the word "pure," I don't mean it to portray her in a good light. I mean it as an adjective describing a politician. Can anyone name anything she has taken a firm stand on? That she's been consistent with? Does anybody even know where she stands on anything day to day? I don't agree at all with Bush' politics, but at least it's a little more clear what they are.
