Now if they can only dump Charles too. He adds nothing to the show.

I think they are headed in that direction. Truth be told, I have never been a huge fan of the entire cast.

to them with a gun to my head. But they get sponsors and they will be back within the next 6 ( by sept) months somewhere.

Not on CBS radio. Maybe Sirius or XM.

Bernard deserved to be fired more than Imus. Bernard is a bigot. Case closed.

Imus encouraged Bernard to speak inappropriately as he did with Sid.

Interesting interview with Bernard on the Sean Hannity show (who I loathe) on Friday afternoon, 4/27. Bernie, speaking for himself, basically said that he was wrong because although the show insulted all types of public figures, the Rutgers women's basketball team weren't public figures and should have been off limits. He also said that he had no idea that the team included young women who had overcome great adversity and accomplished a great deal more than just basketball. He said that he should have been held accountable, that an apology was definitely in order and he should have paid some price short of outright termination.

Interestingly, Bernie also spoke about his daughters, one of whom plays basketball. His comments that he would want to take the gloves off and go after anyone who refererred to her as a "ho" ringed authentic. He also less convincingly offered his own background as a kid growing up in public housing in the Bronx and driving a cab during college, somehow wanting people to believe that he regularly used that type of language. Well, he is (was) on the radio and you simply can't use that type of language, regardless of the circumstances of your upbringing.

Hannity didn't hide his contempt for the I-Man because of I's long-running attacks against Hannity and his pal Rush. He objected only to the manner in which Imus was dumped and the Sharpton role in it.
