All I have to say is: good luck Don. I don't think you have a shot though.

This is not a First Amendment issue. The government didn't fire or arrest him. A corporation has the right to fire employees. Don still doesn't get it. I was a fan of his show. But he walked on thin ice for quite a while with a lot of the racist and sexist stuff they have said for many years. It's a wonder he wasn't fired sooner. It's interesting to see so many Imus apologists consistently try to deflect the issue and cannonize him into "St. Imus of Secaucus". Well, "St. Imus of Secaucus" has only himself to blame for his firing.

Don't be so sure of this. With a great trial lawyer, you never know what can happen.

EVERYBODY is a hypocrite in this situation!!!!
Imus' contrition was real, but so was the clause in his contract that
demanded he be "controversial," etc.
They'll settle, but Imus gets a big payday here ....

My sentiments exactly. CBS Radio and MSNBC could have reigned in the I-Man earlier if they really wanted to. They didn't because they wanted the ratings his show produced (which translated into higher ad rates for them).

First he says "Im sorry for saying Nappy headed Ho's"...now with this lawsuit hes saying "CBS impelled me to say Nappy headed Ho's so theyre the ones who are in the wrong, not me"...if you sue for getting fired for making a racial statement after saying your sorry...are you really sorry?
No hes saying I'm sorry. but it wasnt that bad
