I'll watch for it on the replay, might be youtube worthy!

Guys you gotta watch this at the 5:34 mark it starts, then he nods off but recovers. Mad Dog gives him a look like is Mike sleeping right now, then he puts his hand back on his face and almost falls asleep again, funniest thing.

I've seen Mad Dog give that look when Mike has opened his mail and other weird moments.

i think its mikes indifferecne to analysts

what could aikman possibly tell mike about football he doesnt know already?

but this should be another thread in itself about mikes actiosn during analysts call ins,its now the most classic part of the show on yes

mike either fals asleep, scribbles on his sheet or goes an entire segment without asking the analyst one quesiton, its mike at his most condescending..

So we've seen him read the paper, watch TV, and NOW fall asleep during interviews. What's next?......Crossword puzzles?

I mean I don't think it was all that long ago I used to look forward to hearing guests come on their show. Now, it's almost painful for me to endure the uncomfortableness of their interviews now. I hate to keep harping on it, but they just seem to be too lazy to ask any good information from the guests.

The problem with guests is they seem to have the same ones all the time. Wasn't Aikman on just two weeks ago? He's a good guest but when they have the same ones on all the time, it waters down what they have to say.

Also, a lot of times they have guests on them primarily to educate them about a subject they don't know. It's like when Rodney Dangerfield called in Kurt Vonnegut to write his term paper in "Back to School."

This happens especially with hockey, the NBA and college football. Since they don't follow the sport that closely, they pop up a couple of experts in the field and automatically they know everything about the subject and become experts. They would never admit this but this is obviously what they do.

Since Mike is a self-proclaimed NFL expert, he has no use for Aikman.

He may be bitter, but you can tell he likes Aikman. He's probably tired from a long week and handling 3 kids. Plus the fact that he's 800+ lbs, you have to cut the guy a little slack for dosing.

and just for the record, he wasnt sleeping.

this idea that mike was sleeping is patently ridiculous.

Aikman is one of the guys who Mike actually likes and respects (I gather this from the other interviews they have done with him), so I doubt it had to do with Aikman. You can tell though when Mike does not like a guest.

I agree with your problem about repeat guests, and this is the reason why I can't listen to ESPN radio, they have their same group of analysts that they shove down everyones throat. If you turn on Mike and Mike in the Morning you can hear them interviewing Buster Ohleny, then you can hear Kay interview Buster OHlney the same day and then you can see Ohlney on Baseball Tonight or in a Sports Center spot. Its like they are afraid to put an analyst on that is not tied to ESPN.
