ive noticed with joe hes the opposite of mike and the mad dog well in many ways but also in that hes a player ***ker, meaning he likes to be friendly with these players especially football players that he idiolizes, and its never thre fault and he blames coaches for the giants problems or whoever

mike and chris hate todays modern athlete epscially in football and basketball, they root and talk about coaches and how great or bad they are and blame the players for bad coaching because the coach is usuallly somebody they can relate to more..

Like Evan or hate him, you have to admit that even at 23 years old, he is so much more of a polished broadcaster than Joe that it reminds me of a father/son relationship where the father is a blue-collar worker who never graduated high school and the kid is a college-educated professional.

Joe is like Joey from the tv show Friends when he cracks some inane joke and says, "Ya know what I mean there, buddy." Of course we know what you mean Joe, you have the depth of a wading pool.

Now I think Joe is a good guy but we all know his days are numbered. Even Max Kellerman said that Evan was brought in because 1050 was stealing the younger audience away from Joe. That's probably Max just blowing smoke but there will come a time in 2007 when Joe is out and Burkhardt is in.

i admit he is polished for his age but something about him i dont like,he just seems like one of those pretentious assholes that u want to punch in the face when you meet

as far as taking young listeners away 1050 has little ratigns

its pretty sad they cant atttract allot fo young listeners when you have guys like mike and the mad dog who are stuck in a 30 yer time warp and are as disocnnected as possible and u stillc ant put decent compettion up agianst them..

I listened to them for a bit today and I actually thought they were doing well together. It's worth a shot.

Agreed. Give them some time, it may work out. I like that Evan talks about basketball frequently (he is a Nets fan), and he is not shy about talking about it either. I am not a huge basketball fan or anything, just a casual one, but it is refreshing to hear it.
