Ian really showed that he is a big time radio personality this week. He even carried that fat load Carlin and did so with some humor, especially Friday morning when Continent critiqued Ian about his personal habits and characteristics. (real hair, no dye, capped teeth, diminutive stature)
I remember Imus and Ian intersecting about 15 years ago. Ian called himself the "I-Guy" over the weekend on the FAN until Imus returned on Monday and referred to him as a "twerp" and a "weasel." End of the whole I-Guy moniker schtick. Never heard it again. Indicates (to me) a healthy respect for Imus. An Imus and Ian Show could allow the I-Man to return for 12-24 months until he decides to ride off into the New Mexico sunset permanently, this time with someone in place to inherit the I-Morning Show mantle. It doesn't address the lack of minority perspective issue on Imus in the Morning, but it is a better idea than Boomer or the God awful McEnroe's.
