Loosey Goosey 12-22-2006, 01:32 PM Haven't seen it, but he is going berserk (what a surprise) about how bad the reviewers are. Then he can't even read/pronounce the word "formulaic." :lmao: How Do You Pronounce This 12-22-2006, 02:17 PM He is on a tirade against any reviewer that didnt praise "We Are Marshall He went to see the movie with Eric Spitz at 10:20 A.M .He is tearing apart all the critics that didnt like it.I almost had to pulll over to the side of the road when he referred to USA Movie critic Claudia Puig as Claudia "Pubes",He hasnt even attempted to say her name again. He is making a complete fool of himself.Even when comparing WEM saying it was not as good as GREAT movies he didnt name one movie from the last 20 years. He now claims he knows more about sports and movies then any critic that didnt agree with him.The scary part is they actually found some idiot callers that agree with him (even though they havent even seen the movie yet) dr11743 12-22-2006, 02:45 PM guess the whole show is going to be about the movie GoodAfternoonEverybody 12-22-2006, 02:54 PM I have to actually agree with Russo on this one. I have not seen the movie but to many times critics just do not seem to get what the movie is about. The reviewer who works for the NY Times (Not AO Scott) I was told she did not like the movie cars because there were no humans in it or no hybrids. I was told this by my father but it is a quite silly reason not to like a film. Critics to many times have a jump on the band wagon. I really do not listen to critics anymore and if the critics do not like it than Russo should not really care. dodgerdog 12-22-2006, 03:04 PM Saw it last night at the sneak preview at the Loews 34th Street. It was a good film. Like Dog said there are some things here and there that you can quibble with but over all a pretty good film. And there were a lot of "flashy" guys in the audience who would not stop talking during the previews but got sucked in and stayed quiet througout most of the film after the plane crash and ended up cheering at the end (especially when they showed shots of Pennington and Leftwich). | |
