Mike is in love... with Jay Cutler

Anyone else here him this morning on NFL Now extolling Cutler's talent and the way he throws the ball, puts a tight spin on it every time, and may have the best pure arm in a decade?

And he kept asking Simms awkward questions like, "Is this the best QB arm since Aikman, since Favre - well no Favre did not have that great of an arm - since Marino?" and "If you had to start a QB today, who would it be, Carson Palmer or Jay Cutler?"

Simms was dryly answering, "Its pretty early Mike, he may be setting himself up for some picks today" and "Carson Palmer."

And Mike claimed he had a source who said Palmer was more hurt than the Bengals were letting on, I think he also had some source about another team but I can't remember

yeah Mike kept speculating on Palmer's "hidden" injury the entire first 40 minutes of the show.

when he asked Simms about it, Simms replied, "absolutely NOT Mike. absolutely not. he took a day off after getting banged up on monday night but he's been participating in full practice all week."

he's already passed for 107 yards and a TD in the first half - in the snow.

So that was who he was gushing over this morning....I heard him and shut off the radio before his weekly lovefest with Phil Simms began...
