50 Mins ?

i never really looked or paid until to the wfan schedule until this week.
last night i noticed that Steve Somers was on for 50 minutes last night between the M&MD show and Devils.

FIFTY MINUTES!

Is it worth it to have this old man come in to the studio for 50 minutes! i didnt believe it so i tuned in while i was in the car and sure enough this guy was on for less than an hour.

I would rather hear a recap of the M&MD show for those 50 mins and that also would be more cost effective to wfan and save the $30 owed to somers for his work.

I dont get it.

I think it was mentioned in another thread that Somers probably has an apartment at WFAN.

He was on from 10-1 after the Devils game so I'm guessing he probably tells WFAN management that he would do the 6:30-7:20 shift for free so he can use one of their TV's to watch the Ranger game at 7 and then come back and do the 10-1 shift.

oh i thought he WASNT on after the game. i feel a bit better about it now.

Jerome, I like your recap idea. However, I doubt the FAN would do that only because it may encourage people to not listen during the day. But I would be in favor of it, not that anyone is asking me...

There were times when Steve would work 20 minutes before a Met pre-game. I always wondered why Mike and Chris couldn't work until pre-game and not have Steve waste his time. I guess it's not in their contracts and they want to beat traffic.

Yet If I recall they got upset at The Giants that complained about Coughlins 5 minute early meetings

It happens all the time in between M&MD and a game that theres a short show.
I dont know why they dont have them stay although I kind of get it I mean why would/should MMD stay for another 45 minutes.

Another thing is the M&MD show is officially till 6:30 yet it actually ends @ 6:20.
