Imus Makes Another Racial Crack - 6/23 - From the Politico: On "Imus In The Morning" Monday, the controversial radio host Don Imus (right) - who was fired last year for making racist and sexist remarks about the Rutgers University women's basketball team - made a racially freighted comment about another African-American athlete. During the show, heard locally on Citadel's WJZW (105.9 FM), conversation turned to a story about how suspended Dallas Cowboys cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones now wants to drop his well-known nickname. In the course of the segment, Imus is told that Jones has "been arrested six times since being drafted by Tennessee in 2005." Imus asks: "What color is he?" "He's African-American," the host is informed by one of his on-air sidekicks. "Well, there you go," Imus said. "Now we know".....

It was actually Warner Wolf who told him he was african american.
Big deal. These people act like theyve never heard this before. They need to calm down and like someone else said, remember that its Imus were talkin about here.

Imus just released his explanation:
"I meant that he was being picked on because he's black," Imus said in a statement released by his spokesman.
So, Imus thinks Popeye Jones is being picked on because he's black? Maybe Don should shut the **** up and not comment on people he isn't familiar with. It baffles me that "Popeye" isn't behind bars, and he shouldn't be an example of racism in the justice system!
Anyway, I've had enough with Don. The show sucks, and now he even gets himself in trouble trying to pander to the Sharpton/Jackson's. I'm done with that god awful show.

It baffles me that "Popeye" isn't behind bars, and he shouldn't be an example of racism in the justice system!
