Chris reported that his office was across the hall from Tim Sabean's, so he's been witness (thanks to Sirius’ glass walled offices) to the source of Tim's recent weight gain: "He's eating muffins here, egg sandwiches there."

Chris' call was better than mine! I'm a little disappointed.

I had all the SB guests and questions ready to go, and I started complaining about Otis Jerome Anderson, before I even realized that Tank cut me off. The reason I waxed poetic on him to start out was because I was hoping it would prevent him from cutting me off. It seems like he just wants to milk this out and address it later in the show instead.

I thought about it and decided that getting a site mention in was more important than getting in a cheap shot about Parcells or Torre on Radio Row. Somebody else can still do that today.

Anyway, the most surprising thing was that Sal encouraged me to talk about Dog.

Sal: "WFAN?"
Me: "I really wanna talk about this Dog scenario. But I have a Yankees question if you don't want me to."
Sal: "No, no. I don't want to sensor this at all. Talk about Dog."

M&TMD use a brute force method in order to look dominant in their interactions with phone callers. The trick is to PUT THEM on the defensive by bombarding them with assertions and questions. Anytime they try to take control of the conversation with a question answer it succintly and fire right back with a question, never allow them to dominate..... even better ignore the question, and fire back with another assertion and/or question. All my calls to M&TMD (far and few in between) have been successful using this technique.
