Has anyone here read the book because every excerpt Savage reads from seems horrible, pedestrian writing at best.
First off, these celebrity type writers, whether it is Bill O’Reilly, Dick Morris, Laura Ingraham, Glenn Beck, even Michael Moore, I’d like to know first, do they even write their own books, doubtful, wouldn’t surprise me if Savage didn’t write this. Second, of course their books jump to the head of the NY TImes best seller list. If you had a microphone or camera that got millions of viewers, you could write a 2nd grade book of haiku’s and make it to the best seller list.
The real mark of something that has garnered widespread popularity, if not quality, is a book that stays on the list for months. You can already see Savage’s Abuse of Power taking a nose dive from 4 to 12, wouldn’t shock me if next week it is out of the top 20.
This might be why he is subjecting his audience to non stop promotion and the reading of excerpts.
