I was about to bump up the Tony Paige thread, because they discussed how Roger from New Haven told Evan he will be doing afternoons eventually. I wonder if they did get that from this board. Mike said he listened to Roberts the other night. Called him a rising star. But they are also implying they will be doing what they do for a looooong time. That's a shot at us I suppose. :-)

Yup, more Evan talk. In the next 6 months I have the feeling that Evan will take over for Tony P.

Lol..that was the most interesting segment all week!!! I thought that it was interesting that Recco does not really seem like he wants to do his own show, I guess he feels he is more of play by play guy or something.

I get the impression from what Recco said that the other guys really dont like Evan that much, and if Recco is willing to pretty much say that on the air, imagine how they really feel.

Roger from New Haven had called Evan Sat night , and said in 5 years it will be Evan and Kevin in the Mike and the Dog spot, and that Evan was the future of the WFAN.

Could have come from our board, but like I said I think that Evans might not have so many friends at the station, and it might be one of those things where the guys might have been trying to be stirring things up by letting the word spread that Evan has people telling him (and apparently he believes it himself) that he will have M&MD job in a few years.

Yeah, you're probably right.

As much as I would like the topic to come from this board, if I remember Mike was listening to the show when Roger called in to Evan. I just happned to hear Mike telling Russo about it the next day while watching the YES show

Yeah... I guess. I wouldn't be surprised if someone from the station was monitoring the forum

If Evan is not that popular @ the station it might be because he was on Imus show when he was a kid and has been around while he was growing up. Another reason would be look the small amount of airtime and the large number of people all pushing to get on.........
