I had the opportunity to listen to pretty much all of the afternoon show today with Burkhardt and Kim Jones.
I thought they did a great job. The obviously get along, they discussed a number of different topics, didn't have an air of condescension when talking to callers, and seemed to really enjoy their jobs. I know Jones is a good writer (her SUnday Star-Ledger NFL columns are excellent), but she handled herself well on the air.
They had Carlin on for two segments - first the Giants and then after the break with Rutgers. He did a good job as well, and Burkhardt joked that they would bring Carlin back in the next segement to discuss "squash" as well.
It's the kind of sports show that is easy to listen to - and it keeps the frustration level (and blodd pressure) down.
