Mike's vacation is on and Evan and Joe will be filling in through September. The WFAN anniversary shows are still on today. This is Steve Somers and Russ Salzberg reuniting today as the Sweater & the Schmoozer:

WFAN now becomes non stop baseball talk, with Francesa it becomes the daily Yankees report, very little reason to listen.

Good one HOWL, I tried yesterday morning or maybe it was the afternoon, can't remember, I gave the old Moose and Lori show 5 minutes, horrible. I love how whether it is Moose the poor Francesa imitator, Joe the loudmouth wannabe pimp or Evan the whiny child, they all think that Brooklyn's Big Three, if indeed Howard is traded here, will be able to surpass Miami. On paper, yes no doubt they should win more games than the Knicks but I think Howard has proven himself to be a bad team player and his skills are over rated. And Joe Johnson, wasn't it just a few months ago that people were ripping him as a guy that needs a crazy number of shots to reach 30 points in a game. Nobody is scared of Joe Johnson.

Deron Williams said it was a tough decision, really, to resign with your team, no it wasn't, you went for the most money, as 99 percent of them do.

Which is why Steve Nash won't be a Knick for a discount, if they can somehow complete a sign and trade and be able to give him 10 million a year, then maybe.

If the Nets get Howard they will be a good team at least on paper. When Brooke Lopez was their best player you couldn't expect much. Deron Williams seemed to sleepwalk through a lot of games like he didn't play all out. Maybe with some talent around him he will be more motivated.

Wimbledon finals and there is no network TV other than ESPN. When did that change? Even casual fans would tune in to see a final. I can't remember Wimbledon not being on over the air TV.

Part of the sad changing times. HOWL what are your thoughts on Jason Kidd and Marcus Camby if the Knicks sign him, will the Knicks have any chance to get to the Finals.

Kidd and Camby can still play but they are years past their prime. I don't think they will make much of a difference. It seems like Lin is not a big part of their plans. They really should give him a full season starting to see what he's got.

I do think Lin will be resigned and it really is up to him, if he plays well then he will be around a long time. Mike Lupica wrote an entire article today around the point that Lin should choose Houston, I'm pretty sure Lin has no say in the matter, if the Knicks match then it is done.

If Ray Allen goes to the Heat and he is healthy all year, the Heat will be very tough to defeat once again.

I got the feeling that Woodson was not high on Lin. If so, he may not get much playing time. Lupica is a joke these days, with him writing ridiculous columns trying to get the president re-elected.

Roger Federer looked like he was done a few years ago when he couldn't beat Nadal. With Nadal knocked out early he wins again. Tennis could really use some excitement these days and some good young players.

Chris Moore is filling in this week on middays. I like him on weekends but his style is not suited for middays. He can put you to sleep in minutes with that monotone voice and zero excitement.

is this the guy who is on for joe/evan ?holy christ he said the mets should be sellers and forget this yrs playoffs..are you fucccccccccccccccccckin kidding me??we sufered thru 2 collapses and now they have a chance to get in the playoffs with the phils doing so bad, and he wants them to sell off,i heard him for 5 mins and i already think he is an idiot.
