Default Final Four predictions

Figured I'd pop this one up...

I believe it was our heroes' belief that Kansas had "little or no chance" versus UNC and that UCLA-Memphis would be an "ugly, low scoring game." Whoops, and whoops again.

Tank:Look for the Mariners to try and runaway with the AL West early with the Angels injuries.

Mariners got swept in Baltimore and are 2-5

Mike today: "I don't care if the game gets washed out tonight. Nobody cares about Yankees/Boston in April. It's too early for them to play each other."

Wang pitches a 2-hit complete game at Fenway for the big win, looking as sharp as he ever has.

Side note: Nobody cares, NOW, when they are actually playing the games. But everybody cared the week of the Super Bowl and all off-season long?

Didn't these "we're not NHL experts" say the Washington Capitals were the hottest team and no one wanted to play them? The Flyers may not have wanted to play them but they beat them in 7 games in the first round. As the Detroit Tigers showed in 2006, beware of the hot or cold team coming into the playoffs, it's a new season.

Mike and Chris both said Boston would sweep Atlanta in the first round of the NBA Playoffs.

Didn't Mad Dog say he'd be shocked if the Rangers lost last night?

Needless to say, Pittsburgh won Game 3.

The boys are on a serious roll lately. Their predictions have been so wrong so often, it's comical.

I wouldn't even call it a prediction. He stated it as if it was absolute fact. Delgado will be booed, period, no prediction, just unquestionable fact. I'd love to hear from someone who was there, but on TV, I could not make out one single boo. He was cheered like a conquering hero. Just sweet.

Just to add to some of the basketball ones, in the weeks leading up to the playoffs, Mike was down on Utah, saying they couldn't win on the road. Well, they won the first two in Houston. Then yesterday, Mikey changed his tune, saying that Utah is a very dangerous team. He's such a joke, it's not even worth commenting on what a clown this self professed know it all is.

I was there. His first at bat was mostly cheers, smattering of boos, but 90-10 cheers. They booed the crap out of him by his last at bat though. Doesn't matter, it's almost embarrassing now going to Shea. They booed Johan after he gave up the leadoff homerun. Awful job there.

Also to add to the horrible predictions, I realize it's early, but the 16-12 Tamper "Devil" Rays according to Fatso would not live up to the early expectations that they would flirt with .500.

Default Kentucky Derby

Predictions:
1. Big Brown absolutely cannot win the race from post 20. No chance.
2. Big Brown and the Filly are the only horses with no chance.

Results:
1. Big Brown
2. Eight Belles

Atta boy, Mikey!

Francesspool..."The Mariners are a mortal lock this year to go over on win totals...what is Las Vegas thinking?"

Mad Dog..."Mikey...they're gonna go well over 94 wins!...I see them going to the World Series this year!"

Seattle is now 13-19 and already realizing their mistakes by ditching slag (Norton/Wilkerson) and insiders tell me that they're belief in the Pythagorean theorem is finally sinking in.

Nearly every Saber-projection system had the Mariners winning in the 78-82 range because of last years flukey season.

Natch...fatso would have to turn on a computer and delve into some statistical analysis sites, but Louie's Sub-Shop also has a web page...sooo (4-chicken parms to go!...more inside info on that truism!)

Here's a potential wrong prediction to keep an eye on. Mikey said there was no way the Knicks are going to hire a coach who was fired this year. 1050 ESPN radio reported the Knicks are going to meet with Avery Johnson.
