I know Dog was at the game so couldn't listen to McCarver, but I hope someone relays what he said in the first inning after they destroyed Chip Carey in the ALDS.
So McCarver says, "This is Jason Varitek's 50th postseason game, by far the most on the team." Okay, Timlin and Drew both have about 40 so that is not "by far" -- and just two batters before the Captain a guy named Manny Ramirez was playing in his 93rd postseason game. I'm not a TIVO owner so I don't have it word for word but that is how I think it went...
