Default Are the Giants Part of Mike and Chris "Designer Teams"

We have discussed how Mike and Chris don't watch teams and make judgements based on prior history.

Examples have been Detroit in 2006 where Mike didn't respect them not because of the type of team they were, but because they historically had been bad. Earlier this year he dismissed the Packers in a similar way.

On the flip side teams that are coached by Bill Parcells, the Yankees, Red Sox, etc. will always be given a pass because of their "historical success"

Will the Giants join this group? Just like the person who wears labels because of the name will the Giants become a Mike and the Mad Dog "designer label team?"

I did hear Mike say today, I think during Simms segment, that he thinks this Giant team played like the old Giant (championship) teams did. Physically beat up their opponent (especially the d-line), etc. Not sure how this applies to your question, but thought I would toss it out.

I'm avoiding brands that have been "up" in recent years, as it sort of disproves the point, so USC Football, The Cowboys, The Pistons, the Packers, Duke hoops, UNC Hoops are all out.

Teams that if they started winning though would fall in this:
-The Lakers
-The Celtics(I know they are back in business, but its been a few months, still rebuilding the brand on this front)
-The Canadiens
-Notre Dame Football
-U of Miami Football
