Wow. Just, Wow! This is an amazing first post, and kudos to you. I actually own this highlight film (and each of the other first ten Super Bowls), but since it's on 8mm film and I don't have a way to play it, it remains in my basement! That's some good stuff, and seems that it truly could be the play to which the audio is referring.

From a Raider fan site on Super Bowl II:

"McGee lined up close on the left side and was able to release quickly to the post when neither of the two defenders in front of him - Brown and free safety HOWIE WILLIAMS - slowed him up."

I think Willie Brown has already been mentioned, but not positive...anyway, those were the guys who let McGee thru on that play, and the safety (Bird) was way late. If I had to guess I would say Howie Williams, but it's a tough one for sure...

Also, Charlie Sumner was their DB coach that year (former player)...don't think that's a coach talking but you never know.
