Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama’s big speech on Thursday night will be delivered from an elaborate columned stage resembling a miniature Greek temple.
The stage, similar to structures used for rock concerts, has been set up at the 50-yard-line, the midpoint of Invesco Field, the stadium where the Denver Broncos’ National Football League team plays.
Some 80,000 supporters will see Obama appear from between plywood columns painted off-white, reminiscent of Washington’s Capitol building or even the White House, to accept the party’s nomination for president.
He will stride out to a raised platform to a podium that can be raised from beneath the floor.

Once Obama speaks, confetti will rain down on him and fireworks will be fired off from locations around the stadium wall.
Seriously this has to be a joke, are the people in the Obama campaign this stupid. We are not Germans, we don’t like our political leaders to become cult like figures. My God the arrogance and pretentious nature of this campaign and its candidate.
The only thing I can compare it to at this present moment is the movie, “The Jewel of the Nile”:
Omar plans on using a British rock & roll technician’s smoke and mirrors special effects at an upcoming festival, planned by Omar, to convince the Arab world that he is in fact a prophet that will unite the Arab world under his rule. Jack, Joan and the Holy Man decide to crash the festival and unmask Omar as the fraud that he is.
Barack Obama is acting as if he is the character named Omar from The Jewel of the Nile.

Obama should reconsider and go with that patriotic outfit that Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers) arrived at the ring to fight Rocky Balboa in Rocky.
