I don’t know what Barack Obama and his speechwriters were smoking but this speech is a disaster. The entire Democratic Convention had no theme and did not attack John McCain enough. This speech is boring, angry, whiny, lecturing, and full of very little specifics. I don’t know who told the Obama’s not to smile but Michelle and Barack are not smiling enough.

Barack is coming off as an angry, arrogant, and pretentious candidate.

Oh and he just brought out the “recruiting an army of teachers, and paying them a better salary” garbage that we heard on the primary trail, since when can the federal government get involved in the state hiring of public school teachers.

I can only imagine a non political person tuning into this speech and asking, “why is this guy yelling at me, what is he so angry about, is this what hope and change looks like”.

On a side note is Matthew Modine the only actor there, Fox News has showed him about eight times, I guess Modine was lying the other night when he told Fox he was not supporting any candidate. The only other notable seen in the crown was San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsome.
