I can’t wait for the VP debate:
Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., joked today that he decided to run for vice president when he realized he couldn’t play professional football. But that’s not stopping the senator from making the sport a prominent part of his campaign, as evidenced by his appearance at the Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio.
“As a kid, you have all kinds of dreams,” Biden said. “I dreamed that someday I’d get here to the Hall of Fame, I really did. Like a lot of kids who played ball and thought they were pretty good, I was hoping to be doing this as an inductee.”
Only problem with that is the Football Hall of Fame was not around until Joey was 22 years old. You have to love Joe adding, “I really did”, after the lie. That is a trademark Biden move, he loves to add those, his favorite one is, “I’m not being facetious”.
Next we have:
Referencing relatively diminutive former Philadelphia Eagle Tommy McDonald, Biden said, “I thought, if he can do it, I can do it, you know, and when I realized I couldn’t do it, I decided I might as well run for vice president.
“Football has always been a big part of my life,” Biden added, before telling the crowd a story about his debut as a fourth-grade half-back.
I wonder why Biden didn’t mention his asthma as a reason for not playing football. That is the reason he got five deferments to avoid fighting in Vietnam.

Is he senile or just dumb? The Colts moved from Baltimore to Indy.

Joe Biden is a 1980’s movie character. He’s that annoying guy who has the worst lines and usually makes everyone upset or at least disgusted with him.
He reminds me of Biff from back to the future.(Biff from the 1st film - when you are first introduced to his character)

“When I was a kid I used to dream of getting in the Hall of Fame, I really did”.
He was 22 years old when it opened. What a joke.

And this comment captures the insincerity of Biden brilliantly:
“Biden also looked at a display of players who were Vietnam War veterans.”
Yeah, and if there’s any justice in the world, Biden felt a massive pang of guilty conscience as he contemplated the five draft deferments he engineered to keep himself out of Vietnam.
And we conclude with another Biden trademark closing:
“Remember, no one decides who they’re going to vote for based on the vice president,” he said. “I mean that literally.”
Biden meant that literally as opposed to……….
