These people have turned into raging loons, they think that the McCain campaign is going to inspire some nut to assassinate Obama, come on, this is ridiculous. Jonathan Alter was on Olbermann’s show and stated that the McCain campaign might be putting lives in jeopardy by their negative attacks on Obama’s character and past associations with terrorists.

These are the same people who were utterly outraged that the Bush administration would use fear of terrorism to win votes or pass legislation, yet they want to use fear to stifle free speech.

The Obama supporters need to look back at history, go back to how campaigns were run in Jefferson’s time, far worse accusations took place.

Of course after Olbermann gets sanctimonious about these attacks and their potential for violence, he does the same exact thing that seconds ago he was complaining about, he tries to tie radicals to McCain’s past.

Chrissy Matthews began the night saying that America doesn’t want to vote for an old fogey and the image of the young man will prevail, of course when it came to Sarah Palin’s image, Matthews complained that debates should be about substance.
