Savage opened up the show saying that the Pelosi 1990 page health care reform bill is the most dangerous piece of legislation in history. Savage said the length of the bill is a way of obfuscating scams. It is about special interests and it is a health scam. Instead of reigning in the trial lawyers, the bill actually makes it easier for trial lawyers to ply their evil trade. Savage estimates that about 500 billion dollars a year could be saved by putting caps on medical lawsuits.

Savage made a cryptic remark about CNN’s Anderson Cooper and a hotel room referenced in NY Post article

Savage called FDR the first socialist President in history (some might call him a dictator) and that it took a lawsuit from four guys who owned a poultry store in Brooklyn to stop him, on previous shows Savage stated it will take a group of Americans who sue Obama all the way to the Supreme Court to stop him. Savage is referring to Schechter’s Poultry Corp vs. USA (1935) from the American Thinker:

Small businesses were generally opposed to the NIRA. Its regulations were too complex. It favored large corporations. And, government interference in their affairs ran against the grain of the small business entrepreneurial spirit. The Schechters were such small business owners.

Martin, Alex, Aaron and Joseph Schechter ran a Brooklyn, New York City poultry slaughterhouse and market. They killed chickens, but they weren’t chicken. When the government held them in violation of NRA codes, they appealed their case to the Supreme Court. Today it’s remembered as A.L.A. SCHECHTERS POULTRY CORPORATION et al. v. UNITED STATES (1935).

In the end, the Schechters won and the NIRA was done, declared unconstitutional by the U.S. Supreme Court on May 27, 1935.

Savage stated that he hates Halloween and the poison filled candy that people give to the begging kids. Savage locks the doors and shuts the lights off, he doesn’t deal with Halloween. It is the stupidest holiday of the year.
