When will Wellpoint-Gate be exposed? War69.com’s sources have revealed that Wellpoint CEO Angela Braly has conspired with President Barack Obama, Rahm Emanuel, and David Axelrod to announce a rate hike on California health insurance premiums through Wellpoint’s subsidiary named Anthem Bluecross Blueshield, in order to ramp up support for Obama’s flailing Obama health care reform, nicknamed ObamaCare.
Who will become the 2010 version of Woodward and Bernstein? Follow the meetings, follow the phone calls, follow the money. This is big business folks, it is politics Chicago style, and the American people have nothing to do with President Obama’s healthcare reforms. Check out the healthcare stocks, why are the hospitals and insurance companies at their highest yearly levels? Because Obama stopped the drug importation act which would have allowed Americans to purchase drugs from Canada. Because Obama will give the insurance companies over 32 million guaranteed customers, if you try to avoid purchasing health insurance, you will be fined or jailed.
Not even three or four pipes full of Hopium could have convinced me that the Congress of the United States would ever start looking like the Chicago City Council.
But now, with the Chicago Way White House twisting arms for its federal health care legislation, Democrats in Congress and Chicago aldermen are beginning to share a remarkable resemblance.
They’re starting to look like fall guys.
“The Congress? They’re acting like aldermen. Like fall guys. And we know all about fall guys in the city of Chicago,” said Jim Laski, a former Chicago alderman and former federal inmate who is now a WGN radio talk show host.
Deem and Pass, do you want the Obama administration’s translation to the American people? Deem and Pass is Obama’s way of saying Fuck and You to the American people.
So now we get to Wellpoint CEO Angela Braly who met with President Barack Obama at the White House in 2009:
Richard Umbdenstock, president of the American Hospital Association, was at the White House on Feb. 4 and has been back at least a half-dozen times since then, most recently May 22. Other industry executives making February visits included health insurance company chief executives Angela Braly of WellPoint Inc. and Jay Gellert of Health Net Inc.
Gellert, a $500 donor to Obama’s presidential campaign, was there Feb. 10, twice in March and May 11, while Braly visited on Feb. 13.
Follow the historical stock quotes of Wellpoint or otherwise known as WLP. In 2009 the stock would rise and fall based on how likely it was that Obama-Care would pass. The stock rose to a yearly high of $70 bucks a share as the passing of health care reform seemed inevitable as January of 2010 arrived. But something happened on January 20, 2010, Scott Brown shocked the political world and defeated Martha Coakley to take Ted Kennedy’s Massachusetts Senate seat, thus becoming the 41st Republican Senator, ruining the Democratic filibuster proof majority
Most normal Americans thought that ObamaCare was dead. Scott Brown campaigned against Obama-Care, he said if you vote for me, you are voting for the 41st vote against Obama Care. What happened after January 20, 2010? Wellpoint’s stock price started to nosedive, from a year high of $70 down to $56.99 on February 16, 2010.
Despite the propaganda coming from the White House, Minister of Information Axelrod, Propagandist in Chief Gibbs, and Pravda Obama apparatchik Ezra Klein; Wall Street and the American voting public believed that Obama Care would not become a reality. Wellpoint and the Obama hacks were desperate, they needed something big to rally support for their dead healthcare reform bill.
First they tried propaganda, there were no exit polls conducted in the Massachusetts Senatorial special election, so the Washington Post conducted the only major poll in the days after the stunning election of Scott Brown. The key numbers in this poll revealed that the Massachusetts voters REJECTED Obama Care:
18. Overall, given what you know about them, would you say you support or oppose the proposed changes to the health care system being developed by (Congress) and (the Obama administration)?
48 percent of the total voters OPPOSED ObamaCare
43 percent of the total voters supported Obama Care
36 percent strongly opposed while only
21 percent strongly supported it.
In addition the leading concern of voters was healthcare reform polling at 34 percent, the next highest concern was the economy at 18 percent. Despite Morning Joe Scarborough claiming with no evidence that terrorism was a leading concern of Massachusetts voters, it only polled at 6 percent as being the top factor in one’s vote.
The numbers were clear, it overwhelmingly showed that healthcare reform was the number one issue to Massachusetts voters and 48 percent of them were against Obama’s healthcare reform. Massachusetts is considered one of the most liberal states in America and they rejected ObamaCare, clear, concise, nobody with any amount of honorable dignity would dispute this. So what did we see from Obama and his minions: Pure Propaganda, the claim that the Massachusetts poll showed that the voters wanted Obama Care.
But it makes it similarly hard to argue that the state is firmly opposed to health-care reform, or that Scott Brown’s election is mandate against the bill.
Ezra Klein focused only on the poll question of whether Scott Brown should work with the Democrats on health care reform or simply work with Republicans to stop it. Basically the question is asking voters whether Brown should try to fix healthcare. Of course most Americans think the healthcare system needs fixing, not many would be against that, yet Klein does not mention the most important question in the poll, do you support Obama’s healthcare reform, only 43 percent supported it, 48 percent were against it, Klein mentions nothing, Joseph Goebbels would be proud of Klein.
Next up with we have Obama spokesmouth Robert Gibbs bringing the same lies:
Finally we have Obama thug David Axelrod this past week on ABC:
XELROD: Well, first, let me note that Senator Brown comes from a state that has a health care plan that is similar to one that we are trying to enact here, and that people in his state are overwhelmingly in support of it. He voted for it and said he wouldn’t repeal it. So we’re just trying to give the rest of America the same opportunities that the people of Massachusetts have to get health insurance at a price they can afford.
This bill is important to the American people, Jake, and when you get underneath the numbers and you ask people, do you support giving people more leverage against insurance companies so that they — if they have preexisting conditions, they can get coverage, so if they get sick, they don’t get thrown off, so they don’t have these huge premium increases of the sort we’ve just seen announced in states around the country, they say yes. When you say, do you want to give small businesses and people who don’t have insurance through the job the chance to get insurance in a competitive marketplace where they can get it at a price they can afford and give them tax credits to help them do that, they say yes. And when you say, should we reduce the overall costs of the health care system over time, they say yes.
But that’s the program. That’s the plan. And it is important to the American people that we have the fortitude to go ahead against it, to leave the politics aside, to leave the partisanship aside, to resist the special interests and get the job done.
Axelrod lies about Massachusetts and then goes on with the talking points that every Obama supporter in the media has been parroting for the past month, that when you break down individual issues of the bill, Americans support it. Yes, of course if you poll each goodie separately people will support it, God how cheap that propagandistic line is, when you actually show the true costs, taxes, and payoffs to the healthcare industry, Americans are not that stupid, they don’t support the phony healthcare reform bill.
It would be akin to Axelrod asking Obama if he would like to bang Jessica Biel, of course Obama would say yes, but ask the power hungry narcissist if he would still bang her if it would become publicly known and he would lose his wife and the Presidency, the answer would be very different.
So now back to Wellpoint-Gate, Wellpoint’s stock is tumbling, Obama-Care looks defeated, Rahm Emanuel picks up the phone, calls Wellpoint CEO Angela Braly, says we both need some help here, Wellpoint announces on February 17, 2010 a 39% rate hike on California’s health insurance premiums. Nancy Pelosi announces reconciliation will be used thus rendering the Scott Brown election meaningless. Suddenly Wellpoint’s stock price begins to rise again, the Chicago thugs use the rate hike story to rally support for the bill. Where are Woodward and Bernstein? Where is our media? Who will break Wellpoint Gate? Follow the meetings, follow the money, follow the phone calls.
Their journey over the last two months, interviews with White House aides, lawmakers, outside advisers, lobbyists and political strategists show, involved tensions, resolve, political spadework — and a little bit of luck.
When Anthem, a California insurer, notified policyholders of an increase in premiums of up to 39 percent, the move played right into the hands of a White House that had spent months demonizing the insurance industry.
Yesterday, Mark Shields of PBS echoed the sentiments:
MARK SHIELDS: There is a countervailing argument that is used. And that is, Jim, the Wall Street Journal/NBC poll done by Democrat Peter Hart and Republican Bill McInturff showed that, by 46-45, people said, yes, let’s pass it, even though there is the opposition that David speaks of. Let’s just pass it, because the status quo is increasingly unacceptable to people.
Two things. First, the insurance companies breathed life back into this. It was dying after Scott Brown’s election. But 39 percent rate increases gave this legs.
JIM LEHRER: You think so? You think it would have died after that?
MARK SHIELDS: I think it was in big trouble. It was on life-support. I don’t think there was any question about. And that gave it a revitalization: My goodness, this is what is going to happen.
On March 19, 2010 Wellpoint closed at $65.07, the Democrats announced they are a few votes away from passing Obama Care, somewhere a D.C. journalist with a soul sits and contemplates his/her conscience.
