What is it with the tech savants like Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, and Mark Zuckerberg; always looking to abridge people’s privacy and freedoms. The latest tech savant to go public with some scary quotes is Marc Andreessen, the man who created Netscape Navigator, a billionaire, War69.com is not attacking millionaires or billionaires, we celebrate them, we wish America had more of them, we just don’t like billionaires that think they are God, that think they know best, that think technology is the panacea to all of the world’s problems while never acknowledging the negative effects.
But the big key to Mr. Marc Andreessen is that he thinks computers should drive your cars:
Will we soon be dealing with antigaming laws so that drivers can’t play wearable video games while driving down the highway?
That assumes they’re driving. Google is working on self-driving cars, and they seem to work. People are so bad at driving cars that computers don’t have to be that good to be much better. Any time you stand in line at the D.M.V. and look around, you’re like, Oh, my God, I wish all these people were replaced by computer drivers. Ten to 20 years out, driving your car will be viewed as equivalently immoral as smoking cigarettes around other people is today.
War69.com hopes in ten to twenty years Marc Andreessen and people (tech savants) like him are viewed as equivalently immoral as totalitarian governments are today. Make no mistake about it, Andreessen is advocating a form of totalitarianism which War69.com dubs Technological Totalitarianism but we feel a more a catchy name would be Tech Fascist. War69.com sees men like Marc Andreessen, Steve Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg, and Bill Gates as founders and current members of the Tech Fascist movement.
So again War69.com asks what is it with these tech savant billionaires? Is it just the fact that if you spend your formative years in front of a computer, most hours of the day, you become a social idiot? Memo to America, do yourself a favor and Log Off, the odds of you becoming a know it all billionaire are extremely low, thankfully most billionaires celebrate the individualism of Americans and don’t look to take away our privacy and freedoms.
But not the tech savants. Whether it is Steve Jobs using Chinese sweatshop slaves to build his Apple computers or Bill Gates telling a middle class man you are a schmuck that doesn’t deserve to live six more months or Mark Zuckerberg creating a website that actually hinders real social human contact and is basically after your privacy, your information so that he can make billions selling it to advertisers; the running thread is that these tech billionaires think they are God.
They think that they know what is best for you. Your privacy is not important, they don’t have to ask you for permission to sell your information to marketers, they will use Chinese slaves so that they can squeeze out every ounce of profit, God forbid they build Apple computer in American factories. Your health is not worthy of the taxpayers money, they will judge if your last six months of life is important. After all, Bill Gates is a billionaire, he has no such problem, we are sure he will spend the many thousands to keep his life going for as long as possible. Your freedoms should be eradicated for the tech savants grand vision of what they believe is the greater good.
Marc Andreesson is just another example and prime member of the Tech Fascist movement. He is the kind of preacher that goes on Charlie Rose and declares that technology is the answer to everything. There are no negative effects. There are no instances of technology causing social isolation, withdrawal from real human contact, the hindrance of live conversation and negative effects on communication skills, lack of reading skills. Nah, according to Andressen, this is impossible.
Andreessen, although he is a billionaire, he still has to go to the DMV like the rest of the middle class American schmucks and he can judge, based on your appearance, whether or not you are a good driver. He declares that human drivers should be replaced by robots or computers. After all safety is key, freedom means nothing, safety should rule, the government will deem what you can and can’t do based on safety. In fact, I’m sure the next thing Andreessen will push for is computers to replace our brains, this way, he can program out all of the unhealthy and immoral acts of living.
War69.com will make a deal with Mr. Marc Andreessen. You go buy your tech stocks and stop telling us how to live. We will refrain from telling Fatty Marc he can’t eat his burgers. We will then continue to drive down our highways, we will continue to be humans, we will continue to live dangerous but fun lives, we will not flick a cigarette at Marc’s Prius. As long as Marc remembers one thing, history is replete with examples of dictatorial rulers who believed in social engineering. We don’t need a new breed of Tech Fascists. We see what you are selling and we won’t stand for it despite your pseudo tough guy Fascist pose in the Sunday NY Times.
