Mike Francesa Cites Fake Trade Rumor Involving Kristaps Porzingis/Ben Simmons & Passes It To Ira Winderman As If It Were Real

June 8th, 2017 · No Comments

Mike Francesa continues to play the fool as he tells Ira Winderman that everybody is talking about a trade rumor involving the Knicks swapping first round picks with the 76ers and trading Kristaps Porzingis for Ben Simmons. The windbag Winderman accepted this as fact when a simple Google News search would have revealed the truth, it was a fake trade proposal discussed by a few Philly sports scribes.

This actually makes sense as Mike Francesa’s idol Donald Trump cites fake news as evidence of his intellectual prowess so why wouldn’t Francesa use fake sports news and pass it off as if he was in the loop regarding the NBA.

Or one could envision the idiotic Brian Monzo waking up to the fact that part of a producer’s job is providing show preparation. Since Monzo admits to never watching the NBA and has the reading skills of a typical WFAN caller, it would make sense for a “Hey Boss, look what I found”:

In this edition, we break down a totally, completely fake trade scenario brought up in our newsroom: Would you trade Ben Simmons and the No. 3 overall pick to the Knicks for Kristaps Porzingis and the No. 8 pick?

Somehow Twitter’s Sports Funhouse missed another blatant example of Mike Francesa playing the buffoon.
